Garuda Barre in NJ is unlike any other barre class you have ever taken. You will feel lighter, stronger, leaner, and get some cardiovascular endurance too. The Barre is used as a tool to access deeper muscles and release your fascia. Garuda Barre provides a deep stretch while strengthening your arms, legs, and glutes. Barre executes the Garuda principles with a focus on pushing and pulling the barre. therefore, you are able to activate stabilizer muscles while moving your body in multiple dimensions (not just up and down- but also along your spiral lines). When you work your spiral lines, you lengthen your muscles, get more defined, and feel more release and ease in your body.
The Garuda Barre class in NJ, we like to keep it fun! We warm up from the feet up. Then work a bit of cardio and some serious legs. Then finish up with a bit of arm and upper body work. If there is time, we throw in a killer ab series and then have a great few minutes of deep breathing and relxation. I’m not going to lie, there is a bit of coordination involved, but don't let that discourage you. Just jump right in and keep going! A little laughter goes a long way.
No longer are the days of tucking and pulsing. Extreme tucking repeatedly is not healthy for your low back and pulsing at a decline could put a lot of pressure on your knees. Im a total proponent of traditional lotte burke style methods, I've done a few myself. However, just like anything else, repeated over use is not good for you and promotes injury. Garuda Barre is more freeing. Because the movement pattern of Garuda works from the inside out and outside in, you are continuing working your muscles and your fascia in an eccentric and concentric manner.
